Chris LaRocque has been a long-time resident of Newtown and is excited to listen and learn from his fellow citizens in order to accomplish the important needs of our community 

Fellow Newtowners,

It is with excitement that I announce my candidacy to be your next State Representative.  We have a lot to accomplish, and I am eager to help reduce the massive state debt that is hurting Newtown.  I am committed to improving the business climate in Newtown, helping fix the property tax burden, and working to secure strong funding for Newtown’s education system.  Most importantly, I am committed to controlling the wasteful spending that has occurred in the Democratic-controlled General Assembly.

This campaign is about Newtown and what is best for our community.  It is about how you and your families wish to be represented in Hartford.  

We need to be open-minded to new solutions to our current challenges.  Approaches to past problems may not be the best course of action for the future because of the economic reality.  We can get back on track and grow, but only by making a commitment to work hard to achieve the right changes.

I ask for your help, your input and your voice in my campaign for State Representative as we move ever closer to November 2, 2010.
